My Top Home Ritual.
My favorite home rituals always include breathwork, massage, gentle exfoliation, and a deeply hydrating mask. Of course, everything feels extra luxurious when you have top-of-the-line products and reliable resources to guide you.
Step 1: Check your skin’s condition
Before anything, make sure your skin isn’t experiencing inflammation.
Step 2: Breathwork
I like to keep this simple and grounding — take deep breaths in, and exhale slowly with your eyes closed. Do this for 5–10 rounds to center yourself before beginning your ritual.
OR i personally like to stretch as part of my breathwork from time to time. Spending 10-20secs in the same position and focusing on slowing down my breathing.
Step 3: Massage and cleanse
You can begin massaging directly with your hands. To simplify your routine, use an oil cleanser so you can cleanse and massage at the same time. Remove the oil with cotton rounds — water alone won’t remove it — or use a clean, damp washcloth. Wipe until your skin feels balanced and comfortable.
Having the right oil is key! Not all oils are created equal — some can cause breakouts or allergic reactions. That’s where I come in — your esthetician. I research, and test products that truly work for different skin types. My online store makes it easy — simply select your skin type, and an appropriate facial oil will be recommended.
Step 4: Tone
After cleansing, use a toner to rebalance your skin’s pH. Botnia’s Toner beautifully supports the skin barrier. You can either spray 3–4 mists directly on your face or apply 2–3 sprays onto a cotton round and gently sweep across your skin — especially through the T-zone (forehead, nose, and sides of the nose). If you have a nose piercing, make sure to clean around it too.
Step 5: Gentle Exfoliation
Choose an exfoliant that supports — not strips — your skin barrier. We want to work with the skin, not against it. That’s how we build a healthy, stable foundation!
My favorite is the Verdilab Scrub. A little goes a long way. It contains Immunutra™, a vitamin complex that nourishes your skin’s microbiome — its healthy bacteria. Sugar cane granules gently exfoliate while botanical extracts melt with your body temperature during massage. After a few minutes of circular massage, your skin will feel soft, smooth, and renewed. Leave it on for 15–20 minutes before rinsing, if desired.
Step 6: Hydrating Mask
Now for the best part — intense hydration! The CO2 Pro Lift Treatment Mask delivers up to 117% more hydration, helping heal and plump the skin at surface and deeper levels. The PRO version (available only through partnered practitioners like myself) contains 30–50% more hydrating molecules than the regular version.
Mix the packet and apply an even, generous layer to your face. For an enhanced effect, you can also apply it up to your lash line, on your eyelids, and on your lips. Leave the mask on for at least 45 minutes — ideally a full hour. It’s the perfect time to meditate or watch a movie.
Step 7: Finishing Ritual
After removing the mask, gently massage any remaining serum into your skin. Once it feels slightly tacky or dry, use a clean, damp warm cloth to lightly press around the face (especially the edges).
Then follow with your skincare regimen.
Verdilab Eye Elixir – for bright, hydrated eyes
Verdilab Rose Serum – for fine lines and aid sun exposure damage.
Botnia Well Serum – a gentle retinol alternative
Adipeau Face Cream – to support healthy, plump fat cells
And there you have it — a nurturing home ritual for everyone, even those with sensitive skin.
Share this ritual with someone you love — because skincare is self-care, and self-care is meant to be shared.
xoxo,
Sonia.
